1. What is the difference between engine preheating and automatic preheating?
A: The conditions for engine preheating are: When the coolant temperature is below 10℃, the glow plug is automatically heated via the QOS controller. When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the preheating time is 20 seconds, with the preheating indicator light illuminated for 8 seconds. After preheating is complete, when the ignition switch is in the START position, the engine will continue to preheat for 30 seconds.
The conditions for automatic preheating are: When the hydraulic oil temperature is below 0℃, start the engine. The hydraulic oil temperature sensor transmits an electrical signal to the MC, and the MC drives the EC motor to operate at a target speed of 1250 rpm for 15 minutes, or until the hydraulic oil temperature rises above 2℃, at which point automatic preheating is deactivated.
2. What are the functions of the turbocharger and intercooler?
A: The main function of the turbocharger is to increase engine output power without changing the displacement, improve combustion efficiency, increase mechanical efficiency, reduce fuel consumption rate, improve mixing efficiency, provide air-fuel ratio, reduce harmful gas emissions, improve low-speed performance, and meet the engine's characteristics of high torque at low speeds.
The function of the intercooler is that the temperature of the air compressed by the turbocharger increases, and friction between the air and the intake pipe wall during flow further increases the temperature, affecting charging efficiency. The intercooler acts like a radiator, dissipating the heat of the air into the atmosphere, and lowering the temperature also increases the air intake density, further improving the effective power of the engine.
3. Adjustment of track tension under different operating conditions?
A: On flat, firm surfaces, the tracks should be adjusted slightly tighter; on rocky, uneven surfaces, the tracks should be adjusted slightly looser; on soft surfaces, the tracks should be adjusted slightly looser.
4. When the machine accelerates, decelerates, or the load changes, why does black smoke come out of the muffler?
A: Due to the addition of an intercooler, the intake passage becomes longer, increasing intake resistance. When the machine accelerates, decelerates, or the load changes, the engine governor increases or decreases fuel supply, thus disrupting the original air-fuel ratio, resulting in bursts of black smoke. This phenomenon is normal.
5. Some precautions to avoid machine tipping?
A: Do not perform high-speed rotation with the boom fully extended when the bucket is full; prevent the machine from sinking during soft soil operations; avoid machine lifting and walking; avoid tipping when climbing steep slopes; avoid tipping when turning while climbing slopes; avoid tipping when loading trailers.
